In two weeks dan the next two weeks mempunyai makna yang berbeda. Perhatikan dan bandingkan contoh berikut:
1. I'll meet him next week, so I'll probably meet you in two weeks.
2. I will be very busy for the next two weeks.
Notice the difference?
Contoh pertama berarti pembicara akan bertemu empat belas hari kemudian. Contoh kedua berarti pembicara akan sibuk dari sekarang hingga empat belas hari kemudian.
Jadi in two weeks berarti sesuatu akan terjadi dua minggu kemudian (e.g. See you in two weeks!), dan the next two weeks berarti sesuatu akan berlangsung atau terjadi selama dua minggu dari sekarang (e.g. Meet Mr. Harrison. He will be coaching you for the next two weeks)
Catatan
In two weeks dapat diekspresikan dengan the week after next. (e.g. My wife and I decided to go to the beach the week after next).
